We offer the highest quality professional silt fences at the best price to meet all types of client needs – from large civil projects to owner builders and smaller builder/developers.
A silt fence or a sediment fence, is a temporary sediment control device used on construction and building sites to prevent sediment or loose soil from entering waterways including drains, streams, rivers, lakes and seas. Coast2Coast install all forms of Siltation and Sediment control devices as per Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP) and Storm Water Management Plans (SMP). Most councils in Australia have very strict guidelines to protect waterways and may issue on the spot fines to builders that do not abide by these regulations. Coast2Coast sediment control fencing products comply with Australian standards and all local council requirements. We actively ensure that our products and applications are delivered and installed to the most current environmental laws.
Coast2Coast silt fences are constructed with the highest quality materials consisting of a piece of filter fabric or geotextile stretched between wooden stakes along a horizontal contour level. The bottom edge of the fabric is trenched into the soil and backfilled on the uphill side to prevent any contaminated water from passing through the bottom on the fence. Any running water will slowly pass through the fence while leaving its sediments on the uphill side of the fence.
Coast2Coast will establish and provide ongoing maintenance programs to ensure that all Erosion and Sediment control devices are in full working order at all times.
